Honda says domestic output at 40% of capacity in Aug-Sept, 70% in early Oct

TOKYO, Sept 21 (Reuters) – Honda Motor Co stated its automobile factories in Japan have been working at 40% of capability in August and September due to shortages of semiconductors and different elements attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Honda in a press launch on its web site stated manufacturing in early October ought to rebound to 70% of capability.

“We’re doing what we will to attenuate the influence on manufacturing, however the scenario stays unclear,” the Japanese firm stated.
