WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters) – United Airways was fined $1.9 million Friday by the U.S. Transportation Division for violating federal guidelines on lengthy tarmac delays and ordered to stop future comparable violations.

The division stated between December 2015 and February, United allowed 25 flights to stay on the tarmac for prolonged durations with out permitting passengers to deplane.
