Lockheed to deliver fewer F-35 jets than expected to U.S. in 2022

Sept 27 (Reuters) – Lockheed Martin mentioned on Monday it had agreed with the Pentagon to ship 151 to 153 F-35 fighter plane in 2022, fewer than the 169 jets it had hoped to ship.

The weapons maker additionally mentioned it was anticipating to ship 156 plane to the USA starting 2023 and for the “foreseeable future”.

The U.S. authorities is Lockheed’s greatest buyer, accounting for 3 quarters of its gross sales final 12 months.

The F-35 is United States’ most superior fighter jet and Lockheed mentioned over 700 F-35s have been delivered thus far to the nation and its companions.
