Boeing wins follow-on contract valued up to $23.8 bln from U.S. Defense Department

Sept 29 (Reuters) – Boeing Co mentioned on Wednesday the U.S. Division of Protection had awarded it a follow-on contract valued at as much as $23.8 billion to offer providers to a fleet of C-17 Globemaster III transport plane over a 10-year interval.
Below the settlement, Boeing will proceed to offer providers together with engineering, area help and materials administration for a fleet of 275 plane managed by the US Air Drive and eight world companions, the planemaker mentioned.
Boeing may also decrease working value per-flight-hour for the fleet below the brand new settlement, it mentioned.
