Deputy chief of Russia’s Novatek says he will fight US tax charges

MOSCOW, Sept 26 (Reuters) – Mark Gyetvay, a deputy chief of Russian pure gasoline producer Novatek , who was arrested final week in america on tax expenses, mentioned on social media on Sunday that he had pleaded not responsible and would battle the costs.
“Expensive pals and colleagues. On Thursday I used to be indicted for baseless tax expenses that I already settled by a voluntary program, and pleaded not responsible. I’ll vigorously battle these expenses and can proceed to debate gasoline subjects as regular,” Gyetvay wrote on Twitter.
The U.S. Division of Justice mentioned on Thursday that Gyetvay had been arrested on tax expenses associated to $93 million hidden in offshore accounts. He faces a prolonged jail sentence if convicted.
