Lifting international travel restrictions will boost U.S. economy -Commerce chief

WASHINGTON, Sept 23 (Reuters) – U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo mentioned on Thursday that the choice by the Biden administration to elevate worldwide journey restrictions in early November shall be a lift to the U.S. economic system, particularly for vacationer locations like New York and for enterprise journey.

Raimondo mentioned the choice introduced Monday to permit totally vaccinated overseas nationals to fly to the US “is large. I believe it can actually be a lift to our economic system, it can actually be a lift to journey, tourism, hospitality.” To handle COVID-19 considerations, the U.S. has barred most overseas nationals from coming to the US who’ve not too long ago been in 33 international locations together with China, South Africa, Brazil, India and far of Europe.
